Ananda Marga Meditation is based on the idea that channelization is possible by superimposing positive idea rather than fighting to kick out unwanted thoughts. Mental control research led by Dr Wenzlaff and Dr. Bates of University of Texas at San Antonio have found that "attempts to suppress unwanted thoughts can backfire when cognitive demands arise or intentional control subsides. The present research examined the relative efficacy of an alternative form of mental control that involves concentrating on desirable thoughts instead of trying to suppress unwanted material.

A dozen students successfully completed the certificate course in Yoga & Intuitional Science. Each student completed five modules viz., Yoga History, Yoga Science, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Life Style and Teaching Methodology & Professional Ethics. Some of those have enrolled themselves in the Diploma Course in Yoga Science at the Academy which will concentrate on five more modules. The Certificates were awarded by the Faculty of Yoga and Intuitional Science of Ananda Marga Gurukula.

Ac. Vishvarupananda Avt. gave a workshop on "The Art of Teaching Yoga " at CNS-Sweden on December 31,2007 amidst a snow storm that brought black out to the whole village. Yet, the class was very interesting and well recieved. His rap song & music "breathe-In , Breathe out" was hilarious and brought many laughs.
